Transitional Housing
Our transitional housing is a crucial resource for families, creating a cohesive and home-like atmosphere to facilitate families to rebuild their lives and move forward toward independent living. Clients arriving from DHS are welcomed and oriented to our regulations, scheduling, and the multiple social service programs we provide. Families housed in our facilities are provided with single family apartments throughout the Bronx with on site security personnel and 24 hour managerial supervision to ensure the safety of our families and facilities.
Client Advocacy
The bedrock supporting these bridges from transience and woe to independence and and vitality is our Case Management staff, who routinely meet with our families to create and implement an overarching independent living program. Families entering our shelter face an array of problems, requiring dedicated research, compassionate but firm instruction and resourcefulness on the part of our staff. Case Managers provide this and more, working intimately with each family to ensure they fulfill all steps necessary, both bureaucratically and individually, which will lift them up and out of homelessness.
